About us

Our Nursery is open from 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, with any earlier drop off being requested of the Manager. Children who are collected after 6pm will be subject to an additional charge, and parents attention is drawn to our uncollected children policy. Sessional visits to Nursery can be from 8am to 1pm, or 1pm to 6pm with any changes being discussed with the Manager who will do their utmost to accommodate any reasonable request.

We offer each child who attends Pine Lodge the opportunity to take part in a Home Visit, which provides an ideal opportunity for parents to meet the key workers who may be appointed to their child, also the Supervisor or Manager who will be on hand to offer expansion on any topic of Nursery care or educational curriculum via the Early Years Foundation Stage. Transitions are a very important part of the introduction to Nursery life, and parents should try to use this time to engage in a meaningful dialog with staff, to ensure that the initial socialization visit to Nursery is a happy, easy transition.

We offer extra curricular subjects in Swimming, Spanish, Baby sign language, supporting all children in their individual learning journey from birth to five years. We support the unique development of all children including those with specific requirements having much experience in supporting children with learning difficulties in development, speech and language, hearing or visual impairment. We have been recognised by Ofsted as Outstanding in the inclusive practices of the Nursery and Allstars Out of Hours Clubs.

Our Nursery requires children to attend a minimum of two half days or one full day, as continuity is essential for all children to feel safe, happy and keen to engage in their learning and development. The seven areas of the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) cover the whole curriculum for the very young children, which can be explained in greater detail to parents at the home visit.
